Suspicions Confirmed!

When I go to work, I always ask Max not to prop her in front of the TV so they can watch sports together. Of course he says, no honey I would never do that, I agree TV is not good for babies. Well look what I found on my camera when I loaded the latest pictures and videos onto the computer.

Bouncy Bouncy

I had mentioned to my friend Jen that Lily loves to bounce up and down, and that she would probably be happy if I held her under the arms all day and let her bounce. I'm not sure if my arms could take it but Lily would probably enjoy it! Well kindly she remembered what I said and has loaned me a doorway bouncer to see if that would be fun, since her son Joseph has grown out of that stage now.

Well you can see from the video how much she LOVES it! I thought I would make some dinner, so put it up in the kitchen doorway to see if it would keep her happy for a little while so I could start cooking.

Well one hour, a few Cheerios, and one complete stew later....

First Words Update

So Lily looked right at me again today and said Momma, and then later when Max got home looked at him and said Dadda, so we are freaking out and have decided that she knows what she is saying!! Of course I realize this is all debatable since she spent the entire way round Target earlier saying babababa, gagagaga, mamamama, dadadada, madabadamaba, and her latest favorite AAAHHHHHHHHH (really loud squeal).

First Word?

Lily looked straight at me and said "Momma" yesterday! The other mum that was with me agreed with my gushing that she really did say it. I was glad to have a witness since of course I would love her to start saying a few words, so I don't want to start imagining things. I am convinced that she knows what she said, other people may say otherwise, whatever you think, she really wants to talk to us, since all she does all day is say babababa, mamamama, dadadada, and then blow a few raspberries for good measure and emphasis.

My First Braves Game

Well we all knew the day would come when Max would want to take Lily to her first baseball game, what we didn't know was that she would go on the first day that became possible! Since even Max agreed that less than one month old was a little young to go to a baseball game, the 2009 season was out. Well the 2010 season has not even started yet, but the White Sox played the Braves yesterday in an exhibition game, so off we all headed to Turner Field.

For those of you who have no clue what that all means, Max's favorite team, the Chicago White Sox, played the local Atlanta Braves in a game that does not count toward the regular season standings. The official opening day is Monday the 5th April for the Braves.

Since Lily is an Atlanta native now, and since we had matching shirts, Lily and I decided we would support the Braves, and cheer on the home team. We all had lots of fun. At first as you can see from the first photo, she was not too sure about it all, but later on, as you can see from the next two photos, she really does take after her Dad. Even though it was dangerously close to and then past nap time, she was so happy to be there! Dad was happy too since there was baseball involved, and Mum was happy too since there was sun. What a great day!

Happy Easter Everyone!
