Drumline
I took Lily to a small neighborhood festival about 15 mins drive from our house in an area called Pine Lake. The local High School drumline came out to support the festival and Lily was in heaven with all the music! The first clip shows a little of what we were watching and the second is Lily dancing.

Is that you Peppa?
Here we are at Southern Belle Farm to ride the train, visit the pumpkin patch, slide down the slide, jump on the bouncy toys, find our way through the hay maze.....or just stare at the pigs! She couldn't take her eyes off the pigs to turn around to say 'cheese.
Marty-bug, I think Lily-bug may be following in your trotters with a little obsession!
She did however finally leave the pig pen and came across the chicken coop, and was so impressed with how the chicken was walking up the plank into it's house. She thought it was the funniest thing she has ever seen.

Pony Ride
My friend Sara & I took Lily & her daughter Meghan to the Botannical Gardens for a special children's Halloween event the weekend before last. There were lots of fun things for the kids to do, even pony rides!
Of course I had to sign Lily up for that, even though at first she said she didn't want to. Meghan did want a go, so we while we waited for Meghan's turn to come up, Lily seemed to warm up to the idea, so when we got to the front of the line, she was happy to have a go. She seemed like a natural to me - I was of course terrified she would fall off, but she didn't even wobble!

Too cool for school
I took Lily to the park a few weeks ago, and stopped at Target on the way. She spotted these pink sunglasses and just had to have them. I am pretty sure that means I am in trouble since she is only 2 and already far more stylish than I ever was. She has suddenly switched from pulling everything off her head to co-ordinating her hat and glasses.

Catch Up
Its been way too long since I kept up with this blog, I'm not sure how it happened that the last post was at the end of July. I realized that my camera was full, and that is always a sign it has been w while since I posted something.
I will start with this photo of our lovely cheeky monkey from last week, and get working on the rest!

Molly Malone
Molly Malone from Rachel Sanford on Vimeo.
I was getting ready to go out and Lily was entertaining herself with my shoes. I heard her singing and realized she was singing Molly Malone. Then I noticed she was putting on the St. Patrick's Day shamrock flip flops! A coincidence? Maybe, but never underestimate how much that girl knows! I thought she was just pulling out my shoes for fun, but maybe she was searching for the right ones to go with the song.

Amy's dad, Tom, had this toy and found the perfect audience in Lily. It amused her for hours, or toddler hours anyway.

Asheville
We went to visit Amy's parents in Asheville NC last weekend and had a wonderful time. We took Lily to see some pigs at a nearby college that has a farm and animals. She loved it.
She also had this to contribute to the post..

William's Party
Ok so I am a little behind with the Blog posts. Better late than never?
We went to William's 2nd Birthday party on Saturday 19th February. It was one of the first nice days of 2011 so his parents Adrianne and Steven decided to move the whole thing outside to their front garden/yard. What a fantastic decision that was, and what a great day we had.
Lily started off the day a little pensive (haha inside joke). She quickly made a lovely new friend though and had a great time on the slide. She over-indulged in cake a little but then what is the point of a party without over-indulgence.
Spring Break '11
What a wonderful trip we had to Florida this year!
Lily loved the water just like last year, so it looks like we are in for a fun summer with her at the pool. Of course mummy was a little (ok a lot) paranoid that she would just dive right in the second any of us took our eyes off her so she was kitted out with as many floating devices as one poor toddler can possibly wear. Since she is a little trouper she did not seem to mind one bit.
Can't wait to embarrass her with these pictures when she is older. I'm sure the other people on the beach and at the pool, and probably the rest of the family for that matter, thought that poor kid has some over protective nut-job mum.

Bieber Fever
I was looking back through the old videos of Lily, and came across this one. I'm not sure if I ever posted it, I don't think so. I just wanted to prove to Max that she really did seem to like Justin Bieber, he couldn't seem to accept that any daughter of his could have Bieber Fever.

Hi Toes
I had to run and get the camera for this one. Lily came up with this little game all by herself, I had to grab her towel from her room, and when I stepped out of the bathroom, I heard her start talking.
Well I will just say what we're all thinking, yes the child is too cute and a total genius :)
